What's Spinning? Our Debut album 'Ambient Sundays'
My first album on vinyl - Recorded over a month of Sundays capturing soft moments and slow tides.
After years of collecting, I finally pulled the trigger and released my first album.
During the winter of 2023, I found myself in a moment of transition—the strange space between my 20s and 30s and the slow acceptance of stability after years of floating. I was in a state of change during the season of change. It was a period of experimentation and exploration. There were new stories to tell, and new inspirations moving me. It felt like an important chapter of my life that needed to be expressed.
Some projects exist only for a moment in time. This album is very much that. For a season of Sundays, my partner and I would come together simply to create. Over cups of coffee and vintage synths, we set out to make formless music—sounds that swelled and encapsulated those gentle moments through frequency and feeling. No rules. No boundaries.
The decision to press this album to vinyl came from a desire to share those moments with others. I had long found comfort and inspiration in ambient works by Brian Eno, Hiroshi Yoshimura, and Daniel Lanois. Their albums became part of my own winding-down ritual. I thought, this is what I want more of in the world.
Ambient Sundays is a rich sonic journey crafted using vintage synthesizers, embracing the warmth, texture, and unpredictability of analog technology. Inspired by the tactile process of sound design, this album captures a raw and deeply human connection between people and machines. More experiential than experimental, it’s an album meant to be felt as much as heard—offering listeners an immersive experience rooted in both nostalgia and innovation.
We held our first official release event at a beloved neighborhood institution called A Resting Place. The space exists as a living, breathing altar—enveloped by plants, memories, and the love of its caretaker. We couldn’t have imagined a better setting to share the moments captured in this album.
